WGA shares bipartisan policy recommendations related to hunting, fishing, and federal land management

In correspondence with the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries, WGA submitted bipartisan policy recommendations in light of the Subcommittee’s hearing, Hunting and Fishing Access in the Great American Outdoors. The January 14 letter, signed by WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf, contained WGA’s bipartisan policy resolutions related to recreation and tourism, species conservation, and national forest and rangeland management. “Western Governors call for the funding and delivery of programs which support outdoor education for younger generations, as well as the recruitment, retention, and reactivation of hunters and anglers in order to support license-based activities that contribute to healthy wildlife populations and habitats,” reads the letter. Read the full correspondence for further details.
