In correspondence with the House Committee on Small Business, WGA submitted bipartisan policy recommendations following the Committee’s September 3, 2025, hearing, Wired for Growth: How Expanding Broadband Can Revitalize Small Businesses. “Western Governors recommend that the federal government invest in broadband infrastructure and expand access to internet services for new job opportunities and the ability to work remotely,” read the September 4 letter, signed by WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf. “Additionally, Western Governors encourage Congress to address application barriers for businesses, local governments, cooperatives, tribes, and other entities involved with broadband deployment in rural communities.” Read the correspondence in full for further details.
